You can ask for medical transportation to get your eye, dental, behavioral health, and medical visits. Transportation is not covered for picking up prescriptions and refills at a pharmacy when drugs can be delivered or mailed. Transportation is covered if your pharmacy doesn’t have delivery or will not mail the prescription or the prescription cannot be filled at the medical facility. Normally the prescription should be filled initially on the return trip from the medical appointment. Transportation may be in the form of a public or private vehicle. This transportation must be used only when your visit is for care that is covered and you do not have your own transportation.
