Eligible applicants are issued vouchers allowing them to search for housing owned by private landlords. If the landlord is willing to lease to the family and enter into a contract with Bristol Housing, then Bristol Housing will pay a portion of the monthly rent to the landlord based on current federal regulations. Program participants will pay to the landlord between 30% to 40% of their annual gross income less applicable deductions for their portion of the rent.
