The purpose of the Roby Fitzgerald Center is to provide a focal Point on aging where older persons can come together for services and activities which enhance their dignity, support their independence, and encourage their involvement in and with the community. The Center provides, directly or indirectly, health and social services, information and referrals, and recreational and educational programs. Transportation is provided on a limited basis. Nutrition (HRA housed in center building) congregate and homebound meals are provided. The Center contributes to the quality of life for the older population with volunteer opportunities, helping them to stay mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. The Center benefits all, providing access to and coordination of, services which allow older individuals to remain independent and in their own homes.
